  Wolfowitz for World Bank?
Apparently, George W. Bush has decided Paul Wolfowitz will make a good head of the World Bank.

Allow me to respond to this in a thoughful and incisive manner:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! THAT'S SO SCARY MY EYES ARE BLEEDING.

Thank you for your time. Read more here.

I'm about 98% sure that I would win a betting pool on this one, because it's not hard to see what's going to happen next. the only problem would be finding the idiots willing to take the other side of the bet.

The bank is going to start doing lots of big projects and large American companies will be given the no-bid contracts.

This method is actually better than the one the American government has been using for the last few years, which is to bomb a country and then give contracts to friends to rebuild it. see, it's much faster to go to countries that are already in trouble.

There's less shock-and-awe fun times, but the money is still good.

Jack of all trades, master of none, Graeme is many things to many people. Unfortunately, none of them find him very life-affirming in any capacity. He is a freelance writer, broadcaster, amateur cryptozoologist and occasional political commentator late of London, England and now based in Toronto. Most of the time, he's confused. And a little hungry. But mostly just confused and somewhat uncomfortable writing in the third person.
